Crossfit Games 2014: Workout 14.1 Results

So I went to the box on Saturday to complete my WOD 14.1. I scheduled my heat to be at 10:30AM, but because I only had 6 hours of sleep and tried to clock in more hours (which ended up me just rolling around on the bed from 7AM), I only woke up at 9AM. Made myself a protein shake breakfast. Pretty zone stuff, I've been doing it for years if I'm lazy to make breakfast or I needed something that my body could digest fast. Hence, 2 scoops of protein (4blocks protein), 2 tablespoon of peanut butter (4 blocks fats) and 4 table spoon of oats (4 blocks carbs). More or less they are that block portions, I guess.

Anyhow, I ended up at the box at 10:15AM, seeing that I may not have enough time to warm-up and I could still feel my breakfast in my tummy. I re-scheduled to 11:30AM. After watching a few other heats did the WOD, I kept telling myself just whack the doubleunders and snatch the shit out of that bar. 8-7 first round, 5-5-5 next round, as many as I can do after that. Then doubletheshitundersoutta the rope.

So, 11:30AM came. I was holding on to my rope waiting for the 10 seconds count down. 3..2..1.. GO.

At the 7th & 1/2 minute mark. I should have just started my 4th round. I couldn't breath properly, gassed out.. it was at the 3rd round that Dun Yu no-rep me - at that point I told myself I can't snatch anymore. I need to C&J. Which I did - and it felt much better after. 9th minute mark, I told myself I need to finish this 4th round and do my double unders and as many C&J.

BEEP. 10th minute mark and I have completed 4rounds, 30 double unders and 2 C&J (212 reps). All I remember was I was trying to do as many as I could, my bar kept bouncing all over the platform. There was one time that the bar was sticking out of the platform and I couldn't even bother putting it back that I just lifted there.

Here's the standing as of 3rd March. The closing date is tomorrow, 4th March at 9AM, which I would be about 10th place or so by then.

So the 14.1 Workout has been announced at 9AM local MY +0800 time today. I'm glad that this WOD is actually doa-ble, compare to last year's 13.1 which was a quite heavy snatch. Just that, maybe 15 reps of snatches will take a toll on me during the.. 2nd round onwards perhaps? My target is 5rds, if possible :P You can do it, fatty.
